History of Robert Van Landschoot and Sons Limited

The origins of our company date back to around 1948. It was founded by Armand Van Landschoot and his father Robert Van Landschoot and attended mainly to local customers. In 1972 Armand and his son continued with the firm which was the beginning of the one-man business Armand Van Landschoot-D’Havé & son.

In 1989 we built a larger meat cutting room as the old room had become too small and this meant that we could also butcher larger pigs.

In 2002 Miguel and Didier joined the business but once again we needed to further expand in order to be able to meet the continually growing demand for fresh meet, so we built an extension in 2006 which doubled the available floor space. We also introduced an automated pig carcass cutting system with a conveyor belt. These measures led our capacity to increase such that we are now able to butcher 1,000 pigs per week.

In 2007 we replaced the old name with Robert Van Landschoot & Sons and the future of the company was guaranteed with the involvement of a fourth generation of the family.
